I save my hair and give it to the birds for making nests. Same can be done with scraps of yarn. I can see how the sheep industry can be a great asset; just think of all the second cuts, belly hair, and the skirted fleece!

Amazing.

We've talked about this in my classes (I'm studying Environmental Health and Safety) and did you know they also use those in spills at facilities, too? And at hazardous waste sites, not just oil spills :)
Wow I had no idea that hair sops up hazardous waste. Thank you for the info. :) ...actually now that I've washed 2# of fleece, I CAN see how it can sop up hazardous waste.
